For instance;imagine you're 6'5, 260 and you hit him as hard as you can with a hook. If he sees it coming his ingrained neural pathways will react in a way that creates defense before you hit (chin tuck, roll with the punch, move in the right direction, hands up etc.). Then you add on to the fact that the odds of getting the range perfect to land a %100 power shot is so small that it's nearly impossible, you couldn't do it unless you sneak up and he doesn't have time to react.
