Zadorov can lay some guys out. He is truculent. Ristolainen doesn't play a soft game either.
I think Burke would be in favour of grabbing defensemen like those. I think he'd be pretty happy with the Sabres draft last year.
Your stereotype about Euro's might be appropriate if these guys were the smaller, skilled, soft type of player that fits the stereotype. But Zadorov in particular plays a very hard, mean game that is very North American like. Ristolainen is big and can play physical as well.
Personally I really liked the Sabres draft. We needed a centre last year. But imagine us having an upcoming draft like the Sabres just did. Adding two potential top four defensemen with massive size while still having skill and mobility. That would really fill some holes for us.
Gonna be interesting to see what type of players are available this year. We still need top 4 defensemen with size and strength. We still need powerforwards. We'll take any elite centres even.
