I think I'm in the minority where I believe this is the best decision for Baertschi and the Flames.

Yeah when I watched him in Penticton, he looked like he felt he was entitled and didn't need to prove anything. He was reportedly the same in the rookie camps and seemed to step up a little as the Flames got serious but he's too young and untested to think he's guaranteed of anything. Anyways it's a common mistake of youth and he should come out of this all the stronger.
