I don't understand exactly how it works, but Pairwise is what the NCAA uses to determine which teams get invited to the final tournament. It uses the teams' records against other ranked teams to rank them based on quality of competition to show which teams are performing the best against the highest competition.
Also, yesterday, the Friars announced that they are going to have an alumni game as part of the "Frozen Fenway" outdoor games at the beginning of January:
