You may think horrible is over the top but he is really bad. Like Edmonton Oiler bad. If he was wearing an Oiler jersey we would be relishing in just how poorly he is playing and how another first round pick is rolling toward being a bust. He hasn't looked good any zone for any extended period of time. For supposedly believing he has what it takes to be the face of this franchise and a top talent in the NHL, he's been horrible.
I hope he gets his game back in Abby because he hasn't looked like a NHL player in any shape or form. He has set expectations that he has not even come remotely close to achieving. He hasn't displayed the talent to be a top six player and hasn't displayed the smarts to be a bottom six player. I don't see where he fits in the NHL right now.
