Wow... horrible hockey player???
Sven needs work but the way his game is being dissected right now to help justify him being sent down is just ridiculous. He needs the tools of his game refined and the AHL right now is a better place for him to do that, but his game wasn't "horrible" while up in the NHL and he probably has learned quite a bit about his overall game. Now he just needs to take this as an opportunity not as a set back which it seems like he is doing and which is what he has done in the past.
Sven has done everything right so far IMO from a player's stand point. He has handled the microscope surrounding him each and every time he has been sat for a game and so far the few times he's been sent down to Abby.
This all or nothing approach on either side (Sven is amazing and needs to stay/Sven is horrible, a liability and needs to stay in Abby) is a little bit melodramatic for my tastes. We will see Sven up sometime before or after the Olympic break and I bet you he comes back with some fervor in his game and I am looking forward to it.
