Really. Monahan, who's strong candidate for the Calder and plays like 25 year old isn't a franchise player?
Poirer who's tearing apart the Q and is showing signs of being a strong played (out pacing Shatinkirk) is a wasted pick?
Klimchuck, who is besides being hurt, showing strong promise yet again for the Pats is a wasted pick?
I understand some of the debate around those picks, but have a look at the Prospects thread and then come back. IMO two of Poirer, Monahan, and Klimchuk will be top six players for the Flames for years to come. Most likely all three will make the big club for some length.
