I think if you switched Feaster and Burke during the Iginla trading process, nothing would have changed. Iginla wanted to play for Pittsburgh only, he wanted a Cup first and foremost and saw that stacked roster and thought it was his best chance. Even the best GM ever is going to struggle to make a good deal with no leverage at all. Those other situations are different because you actually can create leverage. A NMC is just deadly to an organization, and I always think its a mistake to give one.
