I'm not sure why people are up in arms. It's obvious that a lot of casual Flames fans that are more Iginla fans snapped up the tickets for last night's game. This is why the Flames ownership were so terrified to deal him sooner as they knew a small percentage of fans were more attached to the player than the team. Also there's always been a good size of Bruins fans around even in this part of the continent and you would see a lot of black and gold jerseys regardless of Iginla. Outside of the Flames and Oilers I would say the next largest contingent of fans when I was growing up was Bruins fans outnumbering Leafs and Habs fans.
