Losing 2-1 to one of the best teams in the league is nothing to be ashamed of but you could see this coming as it played out like a lot of recent games where the Flames bring a 1 goal lead into the 3rd and just try and hold on instead of continuing to skate and dictate pace as they did in the first two periods. This comes with being a younger team.

I don't think any single player had a bad night but how many times is Berra going to crap the bed in the 3rd period? TSN showed a stat that his 1st and 2nd period SV% is around the .920 mark and drops to around .850 in the 3rd period. Not a very clutch statistic. Not sure how Hartley felt he earned the start in the first place given how steady Ramo had been prior to the weekend back to back games. Like a poster said earlier there are times you think Hartley is a pretty good coach but then there are things like the favoritism that just make you shake your head and wonder if he's one of those guys that just can't get out of his own way.

I'm going to bring up a name that wasn't discussed last night and quite frankly hasn't been much of a topic all season because he's kind of just faded away in the background not doing much of anything significant either way. When are we going to see anything from the $12 million dollar man David Jones? The guy is making almost the same amount of money as Hudler and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see which player the Flames are getting their money's worth from. I know the Flames owners are being more frugal with the purse strings but I have to think they at least entertain the thought of buying out the last two years of this deal. I know fans will say he hustles but can anyone say if he was out of the lineup that anyone would even notice?
