This story feels incomplete.
With the girl that you went out twice, did you lead her on, promise to call her later, tell her that you thought the date was awesome and you two should definitely go out again. You didn't kiss her and hold hands, but did you motor boat her on the dance floor?
Obviously she feels slighted, and angry because she might have felt lead on.
