Hopefully when the trades do come they keep it simple. Any Vet goes for a pick or a good prospect ready to make the jump next season.
Don't really want the Flames to go and acquire more warm bodies for the main roster in the trades. And if they do, it's only for the necessity of staying above the cap.
Players in the same vein as Gardiner, Russell, Kulikov or Orlov are ideal targets.
Forwards wise, deep teams looking to beef up on a playoff run like St.louis or Chicago would be ideal trade partners as they have some good young players not quite ripe on the vine yet and would likely sell for a rental.
Flames Management has done a fairly solid job the past year doing these kind of deals.
