So if there are very few 30+ year old single guys in the NHL they are going to stick out like a sore thumb. It's entirely plausible that a single 30 year old NHL player is viewed differently than a 30 year old NHL player with a wife and kids.
Geezus, come on. Commodore didn't end up playing in Russia because he's single. He's there because he can't play in the NHL. He's on his seventh team (and third league) in four years. Did they all drum him out because he's not married? No, they didn't.

Commodore was saying that Arniel was jealous because despite playing a lot of NHL games Arniel felt he didn't earn enough money. Again, this is entirely plausible. We've heard a lot of retired hockey players complain about the money they earned vs the money the players are making now.
Every player on the Bluejackets made more money than Scott Arniel ever did as a player, yet he managed to put an entire roster on the ice every night. Where was the jealousy for everyone else on the team?

Commodore questioning Mike Babcock's hockey smarts is just plain stupid. There's no other way around that.

The guy is no good anymore. That's it. Hell, he never really was and now he's 34. It's not jealousy, it's not his single status, it's not the best coach in the world childishly trying to get back at him.
