Providence has come all the way back from a 3-0 deficit. Jankowski has been so-so, but again, he's not in a position to score a lot. Providence really relies on their "senior" Mauermann, who does have three points tonight. Gillies has not had a great game tonight. Gilmore has been meh as well. For as badly as Providence has out shot Northeastern it hasn't been that impressive a performance. Maybe because I was expecting more from the Flames prospects than they have shown.
I will add, the Friars were short handed in OT and Jankowski was put out as one of the forwards. He made a couple of excellent defensive plays in the Friar's zone and then made two very smart rushes up ice, setting up one of his fellow penalty killers with a great short handed scoring opportunity, but the guy couldn't handle the pass. Jankowski stood out most on the defensive side of the puck but still showed some excellent offensive instincts.
