Well, I tried to watch hockey while in Mexico...
The resort I was at had sat TV - SKY. There were 4 sports channels, 2 ESPN, 1 Fox and 1 other.
The first night I was there was game 5, and I was searching on TV for the game, updates, or at least hi-lights. No luck. There were 5 soccer games on and competitive DOMINOs (to each his own, but dominos?). Since the game was a late game, it wasn't even in any of the papers the next morning, I got internet access and clicked to an article about the game (the keyboard was screwed - all the letters and numbers were jumbled or I would have come here).
I then found found that if I watched CNN International between 5:30 & 6, the final segment was sometimes hockey (I was game 6 clips this way).
I later found that although ESPN Sportcentre in the mornings was in spanish, the bottom crawl would show NHL scores (and I saw the game 7 results).
I wore my Flames ballcap all week, and was stopped a few times by people who wanted to know if I knew any recent results, and saw one kid in the Mayan ruins of Tulum wearing a Flames jersey (he must have been crazy - it had to be high 30s).
