I appreciate the thoughts on who goes where but feel that there are going to be few higher end picks one for one with trades.
The players are one asset to trade the other two huge things going for the flames are cap space and buy outs. By freeing up cap space and taking on some bad contracts for short term or for buy out will make the trades much sweeter than player A for this round pick.
I look forward to trading cammy for a slug who is overpaid and watching the melt down about how the flames got beaten so badly in the trade and feaster needs to go. Then in the summer a much higher draft pick is picked and a player is gone or kept to hit the floor
the sooner the trades happen the better use of cap space and buy outs. But then we can hear how the trade would have been so much better at the deadline when more teams are bidding but the capspace is less valuable.
