I think Iginla's a good guy and had maybe good intentions but I feel he felt that the only way he could help the team was by scoring and creating offense which at times clashed with what was best for team defense. By the end he may have been afforded a bit too much power for a player as it seemed like he was above the coach. IMO this was management and ownership's fault not Iginla's as they started making decisions on what was best for Iginla not what was best for the team which is how the roster spiralled into an old mess of bad contracts and unmotivated players during his last few seasons as a Flame.
It is what it is and he is still one of the greatest players in team history and I will be cheering for the Bruins in the playoffs.
