ANYWAY,
I don't believe he was ever forced to play on a broken foot. He even said it himself: "I
thought I had a broken foot...". The guy had a hard enough time keeping up at the best of times. There's no way he was out there with a broken foot, fighting or not.
Is threatening to send a fringe player to the minors really a big thing? Isn't that what they all do?
I can sympathize with these fellas -- I know they have (literally) a brutal job -- but it is what they signed up for. He was a fighter. That's the only reason he was in the NHL. It's like saying "The coach told me to do my job and that I wouldn't have my job if I didn't do my job, so he was a bully...".
