Haven't really been wowed by this show like some other shows that I've always considered superior or on another class, but this episode was probably one of the best MID season finales ever in terms of delivering the goods. Just excellent.

Some things were definitely a little too rushed prior to allow some things to really be feasible. The bonding of Brian and the new family, to the point where he was treating them like they were blood, as well as the camp of seemingly non violent survivors suddenly growing a giant pair despite witnessing such a brutal beheading (especially surprising when compared to the Woodbury bunch) and having no beef with the prison group beforehand.. Maybe the gov really rubbed off on them with his survival talk, who knows. But putting those little details aside it was really great.

I think the Gov wanted to save Michonne for his own doing as his issue with her was personal and knowing how sick he was, probably wanted to "savour" it. But the Herschell scene, the baby, the kids, the buried zombie, the freakin tank. Pretty intense. I was glued, and for some reason was as paranoid as Maggie about what was gonna happen despite not having much attachment to the characters beforehand. Well done TWD. Before this ep I wanted to see the Gov kept around for a good while as his character was fun, but I think we all learned to hate him again in about 20 seconds last night.

I like that the group is scattered now and without safety. It makes the whole survival part of the show more real. I bet Carol will show up on their travels, maybe she bumped into a new group. I just hope the bring in a couple new characters that are intriguing. Don't really care that much about following rick and carl around for the next 8 episodes.
