The league has done plenty in the last 10 years to try to improve the game. Hurry up faceoffs, puck over glass rule, removing the red line, shootouts, hybrid icing, trapezoid, etc. It's debatable if any of it worked, but they are trying.
What do you want them to do? What are your ideas?

I can't remember exactly when but Babcock was on the Fan 960 and was arguing against the red line being taken out. In his opinion he believed that the coaches would quickly adapt, but most importantly it should be put back in. His reasoning was the game is way too fast with 200+lbs men skating around with rockets in their skates and is resulting in serious head injuries.
I realize they are trying but I'm sorry I hate the Trapezoid why would we penalize a player because they are really good at something that causes no safety concerns. However, by putting it in place all we have done is encouraged the LA King dump to the corner then go kill the defensemen.
If we do anything go ahead try it, but do it like we brought in Hybrid Icing. Then just as much as we debate and vote to bring in a rule. We should have the same sort of debate on the new rule and is it working as planned.
