The guy wasn't the sheriff, that would be a respectable term. The guy was a massive cheapshot artist who hit more people from behind then a Japanese Subway pusher and then comes out and whined that he was forced to fight.
You look at every NHL coach and I'm pretty sure that they told their fighters that they had to fight.
Scott Parker is just whining because the class action lawsuit got filed and it allowed him to become relevant again.
The guy put more players in danger then he fought cleanly, I normally have a lot of sympathy for guys with concussion issues but Scott Parker probably earned a majority of them by cheapshotting players and then taking punches because of his actions.
The guy was a punk during his playing career.

Plus it comes out in the Denver Post a few days before the Avs and Flames play, call me a cynic but I am pretty sure they went looking for a player that had a problem with Hartley.
