There are a few guys trying to start another league as we speak. The issue is that it will be on Monday. A lot of guys cant play Monday nights so they're having a hard time getting guys to sign up.

one of the guys trying to get it started is on my team and asked what I think they should do.

I explained that what they need to do is get with the arena and buy the ice times for Sunday night next session before the guy running the league does now. Then set up the league and basically push that other idiot out.

Since the arena doesn't run the league and some ###### just buys ice time and sets the league up from his home, anyone in theory can buy those ice times and do their own league.

I like most of the guys I play with, the only issue I have is that some, like the captain do not know anything about positioning. So when you expect someone to be where they're suppose to be or close to the right spot they're no where to be found.

Our forwards don't pressure their defense, they come down and try to play defense, when you try to break out they're standing in the high slot not doing anything.

last night I stole the puck from a guy as he was trying to go inside out on me and push it through my legs. I closed my feet and kicked the puck to my stick and rushed out of the zone, their defense gained an angle on me so I made it to the top of their left face off circle with zero chance of a good shot, I look for a pass and not a single player of ours is in the offensive zone. I then try to go low behind the net to buy some time and they're just coasting and I lose possession of the puck.

We do have a kid that has some serious talent, as in he could possibly play USHL junior hockey talent. He has an issue with the "me's" and doesn't pass the puck. through out the game his line mates will be skating open in the neutral zone at speed ready for a pass and he wont even look at them. Instead he dances with the puck trying to do everything on his own.

Oh well, I'd rather play and lose with guys that know what the hell they're doing than play with a bunch of hot shots like him. I'm not the best player by any means but I do know positional hockey.

I just feel really bad for those guys who love hockey that are just learning how to play getting absolutely blitzed and not having fun.
