All in all, great 1/2 season IMO. Brought in and developed some new characters, decent action and I'm glad to see the group forced out of the prison (as far as plot development is concerned).
I liked what they did with the Governor for this season as well. Focused on his struggle to change and attempted to explain his rationale for his actions. You could tell he was making an effort to forget the past and move on. Someone already touched in it but at the end it basically came down to if he could/had changed or not and it obviously ended up being the latter. As evidenced by his irrational destruction of the prison even when given a chance to co-exist peacefully by Rick.
Should add, group is now out of the prison AND they lost their second moral compass in Herschel. First one being Dale. Should make things more interesting.
Couple pet peeves people have already touched on - frail zombies being used as bullet shields, the Governor's group so easily willing to follow his pretty obvious psychopathic lead, some of the shooting sequences, etc. My biggest one is the fireball grenades usually reserved for cheesy action movies haha.
But hey, it's a show about Zombies so I'm willing to forgive most of it
