Backlund is horrible too. Why he doesn't score more is beyond me? I mean, playing with two solid offensive threats in McGrattan and Bouma, you should be lighting up the league, right? Jankowski has been put in the third line center role, which is a great spot for him. He's playing with a couple of grinders and learning the defensive side of the puck. He's also forced into a more physical game, which the Flames said they wanted him to work on. He is still producing while playing on a defense first line, on a defense first team. Solid developmental year for the kid, but those who only follow the scoring summaries will not understand that.
