Where's the D?
They say defense wins championships.
Obviously someone forgot to tell the Minny Wild and Atlanta Thrashers.
The two teams combined Sunday for 13 goals in the Wild's 8-5 Game 2 win that knots the series at 2 games each. The game featured defensive gaffes from both sides, and shakey goaltending. In fact, by the time the game was over both starters were yanked in favor of the backups.
After the game Farhall said the team can't expect to win with games like that.
"Its nice to get the win today but we can't get into those type of run and gun games with Atlanta....they have too much offense. We still haven't found our game yet in these finals but at least our offense is back on track"
Todd Marchant paced the Wild attack with 1 goal and 3 assists, while Mats Sundin scored a pair. Marian Hossa, quiet for the last 3 games, also had a strong performance with 3 points.
