I actually like the Tea Party, but they did seem a little full of themselves. I saw them live in Gimli and they were great, but the singer did try to act a little too much like JM (he claimed to be on acid, but I doubt he was).

Also, I saw them live in a little bar in Kenora Ontario just as they were becoming popular and the singer made some remark about how after that night they wouldn't have to be playing crappy venues any more. They also cancelled the other show they had scheduled later in the summer.

Granted, I know that they were gaining enough steam to move up from bar venues to actual concerts, but the insult was kind of unnecessary.
