getting a franchise winger is great, but using 2 of your first round picks on them, especially when it's not clear that they are far and beyond the obvious choice is bad execution.
if the oilers took the #1 Center in each of their drafts:
1) Seguin
2) RNH
3) Galchenyuk
that would be SO much better than what they have today. Heck, i'd argue the 1 center they did get, is likely not going to be as strong a #1 center as the ones they didn't pick.
flames fans are painfully aware that getting elite centers is perhaps the HARDEST hole to fill on a roster in the NHL. Not using their top picks during this rebuild when they will actually be picking high would be sad.

The other argument for the center if they are in fact the right choice is you can always convert them to a wing very easy. Same problem Team Canada has if you can even call that a problem.
With that being said, I can see the Flames going with a very talented defensemen.
