The brand and type of gas your using can have a lot to do with it. Shell gas has real good staying power, I put gold in all my seasonal equipment and never have problems. Anything with ethanol in it does go bed really fast, and I have gunned up a small carburator with that so I shouldn't speak so fast. Modern engines are pretty sensetive too, so you might get away with soething then cough, dead.

I'd still be chasing diesel just to be safe.
