I don't blame Berra for the loss. There were a lot of factors as there are in any game BUT call a spade a spade. That was a very bad goal at the worst possible time. He has to stop that. And he looked outrageously bad on top of letting it in. Not sure what he was thinking but he seems to get over-excited at the worst times causing poor decisions. That's probably the downside of the competitive intensity that Hartley seems to love so much. Goalies need to be cool. Kipper never let himself get rattled. That's what made him so extraordinary and that's likely the reason that keepers take longer than other players to develop. So much of the position is mental rather than physical ability.
That 3rd goal was a mistake that in and of itself cost the team a point. Flames shouldn't have been in that position with 18 seconds left but any NHL goalie has to have that. He's still a rookie. Hopefully he learns and develops from this. Just hope Ramo and Ortio get an equal opportunity.
