To my understanding the canadian franchises get an "invasion fee", so it isn't equally divided. Secondly, it's the increase in the salary cap along with the disparity in other revenue that imbalances the league. This definitely increases that disparity. Yes they all get more money, but the amount the cap increases grows more too
