Hartley on why we lost

"I've said it many times," Hartley lectured. "It's one thing to know how to play the game. It's another to know how to win the game. There are many mistakes that we're going to be able to take away from our game with more experience. Better decisions, lots of times, comes with a better understanding of the game. Some of our young players, they got into some trouble on some plays (Wednesday).

"But hey, it's not for a lack of effort. That's for sure."

"That was something we were trying to guard against," Hartley said. "Because, No. 1, we know the firepower of that team. They played basically the same trick to the Vancouver Canucks a few nights ago. You make a few mistakes and they're so skilled that they'll make you pay for it. And it's too bad. I felt they played very well and we showed up to play.

"I feel our players, maybe minus a few decisions in the third period, played a great game."
