For those saying flip him at the deadline, there is a good chance you won't get anything for him... the CBA says that if you trade a player in the same season that you claimed him off waivers, you have to offer him for free to the other teams that put in a claim.
So for example if the Flames were to claim him but then tried to trade him to another team at the deadline, they would first have to offer him to all the other teams that put a claim on him.
Granted there will be a lot of teams that may not be able to put a claim in because of cap situations.
