Well the first part of the article seems to suggest part of the reason for the diet is to keep her weight down, which obviously wouldn't be good for pregnancy. Though, it's low on details, so I'm not sure how low she's staying or how bad it is.

As for the actual diet aspect of it, it does seem more healthy that a lot of other diets, even as someone mentioned, what a significant portion of other pregnant women eat.

The protein thing makes me wonder too. But I just don't know enough about diet and good pregnancy diet enough to be on either side of this story. It feels a bit wrong, but just how much, I'm not sure at all.

The thread title is definitely misleading. Just ten bananas would be bad yes. But it's more than that.
