I'm not sure what you're referring to here.

I can't see that happening, but I would've said the same thing about TSN losing national NHL rights a week ago. We'll have to wait and see.
1) Well, TSN will be limited to content and highlights they can show...certainly not enough rights to have a whole network full of programming.

2)NBCSN are the games that NBCSN shows in the States, that TSN2 usually picks up.

3)12 years is a long time. 12 years ago was 2001 and HDTV's cost $6k and showed only were useful for the next 3-4 more years for DVD's. Streaming online content like Netflix was non existent because internet speeds couldn't match, let alone mobile speeds.

But in the next 12 years? Rogers will want to have games and hockey as part of their mobile services, and they already I think have select BlueJays games available if you have a Rogers phone. 12 years from now when all sorts of usual home services will be internet based, online and home internet will be at superfast speeds, as well cellphone, tablet etc data speeds and plans.

It would only make sense that at some point, maybe not Day 1, that the NHL content would be all part of the package that Rogers has available to spit out in whatever format they wish (and makes them money).
