Put me in the camp that feels nothing is better for hockey coverage then CBC satruday night. But maybe that's just cause I grew up with it. Still I've never really loved TSN's coverage and they way they do games, despite being a slick production with some good on air talent, it's always seemed to lack something that I can't really articulate. If it was music, I'd say the TSN coveraged lacked a little soul tbh.
Regardless, I like that CBC will keep Saturday night, and I couldn't care less who else owns national rights. The on air talent worth talking about will eventually land where the work is, and can you imagine CBC if some of the best TSN folks eventually were on the Saturday night coverage...........that might be the best outcome.
