Sorry, don't see how revenue and operating income could have INCREASED during a season where they played ~20 less home games than usual. The Flames are a gate driven team like most hockey markets
This year I can understand how operating income increased due to the player salaries being at a historical low, and attendance being strong over an 82 game season, but during the lockout the Flames still had a huge bankroll that still included Kipper, Iggy, and JBo for most of the year.*
Also, it is pretty widely accepted that most of the league's "sell-out" records are total fabrications. Wednesday's game against the Blue Jackets should prove that
*Actually I misunderstood how they did it, 2013 (the current numbers) represent the lockout season and this season's numbers aren't represented
