Taking the wind was the smart decision considering that Peyton's passing rating into the wind last night going into overtime was 18.9, and that really Denver had 1 long TD drive. With that wind the Broncos basically had to be inside a 40-yard kick to be very confident, and a kick doesn't beat you. Belichick trusted his defense and it worked.
Really looks like there are only 4 great teams in the NFL, with Denver and New England in the AFC and Seattle and New Orleans in the NFC. Then you got teams like Kansas City, Carolina and Arizona who are a level or two below that. Then you got a whole bunch of mediocre teams fighting it out for the remaining spots.
