Seriously, how does pathetically holding onto an 80s hockey team's glory sell a city in 2004?
"Yeah Calgary is becoming a great business center and is even luring head offices away from Toronto, but Edmonton is better because we once had a great hockey team! Who doesn't want to live in an industrial wasteland with no real economic chances that has 5 Stanley Cups from the 80s/early 90s!!!" I can just see that pitch to other businesses to try to get them relocate from Tor/Cal/Mon/Van to Edm!
