Check out Spigen. Not only do their cases look awesome, it's well made as well. Same for the screen protectors. A little pricy maybe but again excellent quality if that matters to you for a piece of plastic over your phone.
Alternatively any of the cases from Google look good as well.

Not without rooting. Check out something like Swipepad for quick and instant access to apps.
