Even good teams need physical pain in the..... players to play against on the 4th line. The Kings had Nolan and King amongst others, the Bruins had most of their players being able to play that way, and the Hawks in the past had annoying guys like Brouwer and Burish.

MacDermid might help in the future by being one of those decent enough players that is a total pain to play against. Add in that he's a very good fighter and it's a win win.
