So I have zero issues with a simple "thoughts and prayers" or whatever. But I honestly sat there thinking "why? Is your god going to change his mind is you get 35 responses/likes in 5 minutes?
note: the boy was fine. the emergency wasn't really DKA though his blood sugar was rising because his insulin pump had an internal failure. So I guess that means the prayers worked or something. Something being modern medicine.

If the neighbourhood boy died due to complications then it would have simply been his time. I don't get how people think that a simple prayer is going to have an affect on the outcome. If God worked that way we would never get sick or hurt or even die
