Opening schedule

Interchanges along the brand new section of the freeway will open in a safe, staged manner with the entire road expected to be open by late afternoon. The speed limit along this section will be 100 kilometres per hour. Drivers are reminded to obey all signs and signals.

The first southbound interchange to open will be:

Highway 22X/Stony Trail and 88 Street SE., followed by
114 Avenue,
Glenmore Trail and finally
Peigan Trail.
The first northbound interchange to open will be:

Glenmore Trail SE., followed by
114st Avenue SE, and finally
Highway 22X/Stony Trail and 88 Street SE.
Peigan Trail opened to northbound traffic earlier this year as part of construction.
