I have no doubt that this is exactly the position he wanted, and asked for. He bounced around a bit as a GM. How often are team presidents let go? Almost never.

He specifically said he wants to be a GM tomorrow if possible. He has said numerous times that his goal is to be the GM of an NHL team. He took this job because it was the next best thing and he knows Feaster was on the hot seat so his chances are higher here than being a scout in Anaheim.
