Why must I keep defending these perfectly reasonable posts...
We play each eastern time 2 times per season (at least the majority). Cut that in half and you still play each team 1 time a season. It will alternate home/away games year to year (which is what the NHL format used to be).
This means less traveling for all teams and therefor less jet lag and better quality of hockey.
I'm done trying to explain this to people who won't do a minute of research and instead just put words in my mouth.
