Looks like the Tigers sent along $30m along with Fielder, which changes this deal a bit. Still may work out for both teams but not quite as big a steal as originally laid out.
Also, the head of the MLBPA Michael Weiner, the guy that took over after Fehr, has died today. From all accounts, a positive, easy going, very well liked labour lawyer; basically the exact opposite than Fehr was.
