Some religions promote hate, fine I'll accept that, but the blanket statements that they all do is wrong.

Exactly BBS. Cheese is a fundamentalist Atheist. Ironic eh? Give him a break though, obviously somehting happened in his childhood related to religion that has scarred him thusly.
Religions can and do spread hate - what gets me is that he will not condemn racism, nationalism, tribalism or anything else fo that matter. To him the ONLY thing wrong with humanity is religion. That is so asinine it is hilarious. I brought up communism and he said something liek Stalin wasn't a 'true' practitioner of communism and that he went to religious school when he was young so that somehow 'disqualifies' him from the hmanist train of thought. I'd love to see an example where communism with it's lack of religion HAS created paradise on earth though.
