I honestly do not care if this is non-retroactive, grandfathered or not. This is absolutely a bone headed policy. I get there is a very small segment of society this benefits, but this would be like saying every single new automobile sold in the Vancouver area going forward, must have a wheelchair ramp, and hand controls, and it is up to you to remove them, if you don't like them. If someone is building a custom home, they should be able to put giant rubber dildos as doorknobs if they so choose. Then again, I suppose if you used a giant dildo orientated correctly, it would pass city inspection and be deemed more appropriate than a door knob.
