I'm no fanboy, I simply go with the better product. I have both a PS3 and Xbox 360, but prefer to buy most of my games on the 360 because it's the better device. But right now the PS4 has the more powerful hardware, the current cross platform games look and perform better on it, and PS+ provides far more value over Xbox Live with their monthly free games and Steam-like sales (plus no need to pay to use things like Netflix). As it stands the PS4 is simply the better product, especially when you factor in price
Microsoft can't compete with Sony in pure gaming performance unless they change the hardware inside the One (which no console manufacturer has ever done with a current gen device), so they need to focus on the software side of things. I want to see them work on the one device mentality and improve the Kinect performance, make it actually worth the extra $100. Then it might be worth buying
