2. BAERTSCHI OUT? — As the Flames ran through their lines Sunday, LW Sven Baertschi, the morning after operating on the top unit, was passed over more than once. A couple of shifts on the fourth line, a couple of shifts on the bench. Should he sit, it marks the kid’s fourth scratch. Not that Hartley fears backlash. “Some of you guys think Sven is Rocket Richard,” he groused Sunday. Later, talking about Monday’s challenge, Hartley noted: “Big team. Loud building. Should be fun. It’s going to be a game for men. There won’t be any room for kids out there.”

I didn't read all posts in this thread, but it seemed many were going off regarding this quote. Saying Hartley called Sven a kid etc. Unless I'm missing something (I would like to see a video) it seems that this quote is nothing but editorialized, out of context, drama stirring BS.
Hartley holds his players accountable. No one is secure in there role. When it's a vet being held accountable we seem to praise him for "abandoning the country club atmosphere" when it is a younger player we scream that he is going to ruin his confidence and has no idea what he is doing.
