how are people saying he's a bust?! He has 20 pts in his first 42 NHL games (.476 ppg).

Henrik Sedin had 29 points in his first 82 games (.353 ppg).
Daniel Sedin had 34 points in his first 75 games (.453 ppg).

Everyone needs to calm the heck down. He is going to make mistakes along the way. He is going to have issues playing a 200 foot game. He's a 13th overall pick, not a 1st or 2nd overall pick. They (the vast majority of the time) take time to develop.

Would Sven be better served playing in the AHL? I think maybe, yes - especially with Hartley apparently not being his biggest fan.

But bust? Just...no. That's insanity. This is what a freaking rebuild is about - giving the youth time to make and learn from their mistakes.

So many on here were dancing around with their happy hats on when we started the season so well - how did you not see this coming? There is no instant solution to developing a player, let alone a team. Players, and the team as a whole are going to struggle.
